Interim NPD Product Leader - New Product Development
Contract Role
Company: Refresco
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 5 pm and Friday 8:30 am – 4 pm (Hybrid model; 1 day remote work)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technologists to execute NPD and EPD initiatives that drive business growth.
- Act as a market-focused innovator, dedicated to creating superior products for our business.
- Foster strong relationships with our customer base to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with the Commercial department to develop customer product ranges.
- Represent the company in customer presentations, showcasing innovative NPD concepts that are commercially viable and operationally feasible.
- Engage in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to manage the workload of the NPD team.
- Support technologists in delivering products as per customer requirements and assist in their customer interactions.
- Coordinate with Implementation and Customer Technical Support Managers to ensure seamless product launches and address any quality-related inquiries.
- Contribute to internal and external audits, providing insights into NPD processes and procedures.
- Assist the optimization team in enhancing the current product portfolio for improved quality and profitability.
- Work closely with the NPD Controller and other stakeholders to develop a strategic NPD pipeline.
- Establish a development cycle in collaboration with suppliers to inform the business plan.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the commercial aspects of NPD, including cost management and production requirements.
- Oversee project management of NPD/EPD initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer timelines.
- Directly manage a team of up to five technologists, prioritizing their development through regular one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing teams and projects, demonstrating success in delivering NPD/EPD from concept to market. Strong communication skills are essential, and experience in the beverage industry is preferred. A creative and passionate approach to NPD is highly valued.
