Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport. As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the food and beverage team and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the food and beverage team by example and motivate them to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in the day-to-day operation of the department, including managing inventory, scheduling, and staff performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Ensure that all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively, and that guest complaints are handled in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with colleagues across all departments to enhance the guest experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and implement new ideas and initiatives to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure that all health and safety, food safety, and quality standards are met, and that all procedures are followed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a food and beverage supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest complaints and feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and staff performance.
  • Ability to develop and implement training programs, and to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
