Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at Lexington Catering. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pastry products to our clients on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control: Ensure consistent standards of delivery and presentation of all pastry products.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the Pastry Sous Chef to develop new ideas and menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Support, organize, mentor, and train members of the kitchen team in line with Company procedures.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Support the manager in maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within budget.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain up-to-date product and menu knowledge, and ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation, including portion and quality control.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure high standards of cleanliness of all areas in the kitchen and of equipment.

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience of working within high-quality pastry departments.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Time Management: Outstanding time-keeping skills.
