Compensation: Up to £75,000, based on experience

Role Overview

In the capacity of Leadership Development and Talent Lead, you will be responsible for crafting and executing the Learning and Development (L&D) strategy aimed at enhancing essential skills across all levels within Marshall. This position entails designing and delivering top-tier programs, including leadership training, fundamental management skills, talent development (such as technical apprenticeships), and crucial training modules like induction and compliance courses for all staff members. Furthermore, you will refine the performance management framework to cultivate a high-performance culture through consistent feedback and discussions, ensuring the growth and retention of exceptional talent.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an L&D leader with specialized knowledge; recognized as a thought leader in leadership and talent best practices.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and teamwork abilities, with a proactive approach to developing others.
  • In-depth understanding and experience in implementing diverse learning methodologies, including virtual and face-to-face approaches, as well as the 70:20:10 model.
  • Familiarity with psychometric tools such as Insights Discovery, Hogan, and Thomas International, with confidence in interpreting and facilitating 360-degree feedback.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to manage stakeholders up to the C-suite level.
  • Innovative and creative thinker with solid commercial and business insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a long-term L&D strategy and KPIs in collaboration with HR Business Partners and the HR Director to align with Marshall Motor Group's people objectives.
  • Launch and integrate the Constellation Automotive Group's leadership framework and digital resources, ensuring consistency and alignment of leadership expectations across all levels.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify development needs, providing expertise on leadership and talent-related topics, from coaching and feedback to enhancing team effectiveness.
  • Coach and develop senior leaders and their teams using a combination of 360-degree feedback tools and psychometric assessments to create development plans and boost performance.
  • Design a premier induction and onboarding experience for all Marshall employees, partnering with compliance and health and safety teams to create engaging, interactive learning opportunities.
  • Deliver a fully operational Learning Management System (LMS) with high-quality, relevant content that aligns with business needs, evolving and adapting as necessary.
  • Enhance the apprenticeship program by collaborating with divisions and recruitment to attract, recruit, and retain top technical apprentices while optimizing government funding.
  • Oversee external suppliers and contracts, assisting in the management of the L&D budget, with monthly tracking and reporting.
