Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Environment:
    • Lead in health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
    • Achieve safety targets and enforce zero tolerance for unsafe practices.
    • Produce and communicate risk assessments and method statements.
    • Support the Behavioural Safety program and hazard reporting.
  • Programme and Production:
    • Contribute to project value engineering and buildability.
    • Agree on programmes and methods with planners.
    • Monitor and control resource requirements and production outputs.
    • Conduct analysis of programmes and lead short-term planning.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Lead and manage a team.
    • Secure materials and plant per specifications.
    • Manage material wastage and allowances.
    • Ensure RAMS, ITPs, and MARs are signed off before work.
    • Identify temporary works requirements and ensure safe implementation.
    • Meet project quality standards and handover requirements.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Civil Engineering with strong technical knowledge.
  • Experience with reinforced concrete structures.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Ability to produce RAMS, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work.
  • Knowledge of Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems.
  • Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Membership in the Institution of Civil Engineers is desirable.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS, and CSCS Card.
  • HS2 induction, Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator, First Aider, and Fire Marshall qualifications are desirable.
  • Fit for work medical (or safety critical medical) is desirable.
