Position: Youth Care Support Specialist
Location: Bristol, Flexible Supply, Up to £16ph

Prospero Health & Social Care is actively seeking dedicated Youth Care Support Specialists to assist in various services across the Bristol area.

This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital service with both day and night shifts available.

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Support Specialist to join a prominent care agency focused on supporting children and young individuals facing complex challenges, including emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Your responsibilities will encompass aiding children with learning disabilities and emotional or behavioral issues. Key Duties:

  • General support and assistance
  • One-on-one support
  • Community engagement and support
  • Facilitating enjoyable and fulfilling experiences for young individuals

Contract Details:

  • Type: Temporary
  • Potential for full-time hours
  • Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Evening

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a support or care setting
  • Current mandatory training in areas such as Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Infection Prevention, Equality and Diversity, and Autism (all training can be provided at no cost through Prospero)
  • Completion of safeguarding training is essential; a free course is available through Prospero Health and Social Care
  • Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable but not mandatory

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Possession of an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Provision of two professional references related to care
