Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Homelessness Support Specialist to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting young people who are at risk of or have been homeless.

About the Role

As a Youth Homelessness Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to young people, helping them to develop independent living skills, such as:

  • Accommodation needs
  • Financial management
  • Rents and debts
  • Health and well-being
  • Social needs
  • Integrating positively within the wider community

You will work closely with our team to:

  • Provide targeted support to young people to maximize outcomes and reduce risks
  • Support homeless young people in developing life skills, encouraging access to education or employment
  • Coach and train our team of Accommodation Support Workers
  • Understand the needs and issues facing young people
  • Utilize excellent listening, written, and IT skills
