About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially driven Conversion Manager to join our esteemed client's Meeting & Events team at a stunning country house hotel based outside of Milton Keynes.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering and exceeding revenue objectives, maximizing conversion to achieve the MICE budget, and conducting regular analysis of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth: Practice efficient and effective yield management in line with guidelines and maximize each sales opportunity, upselling as frequently as possible.
  • Diary Management: Ensure effective diary management, ensuring that all rates quoted are in line with the hotel sell strategy and controlling option business to maintain a clean diary and optimize conversion levels.
  • Business Development: Work closely with the proactive team on passing on any leads of potential new clients once qualified, building relationships with existing clients to seek further opportunities.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze refused business and conduct regular rebook calls on all confirmed/lost business.
  • Market Intelligence: Carry out regular competitor calls to analyze pricing and availability trends in order to support in setting out strategy.
  • Market Strategy: Understand the competitive marketplace and suggest strategies to ensure the hotel stays ahead.
  • Business Planning: Ensure a full understanding of the sales budget for the year to drive business forward and deliver this strategy to new and existing clients to meet annual revenue targets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a meeting & events background in a conference and events focused hotel.
  • Ideal candidate would be someone in the meeting & events team looking to progress into a proactive role and further their career.
  • Strong commercial mind and proactive attitude.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize your own workload.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
