Job Summary

Morson Talent Careers is seeking a skilled Avionic Electrical Fitter to join our team as an Avionic Workshop Technician. This is a permanent position based at a UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) site.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough testing, repair, and maintenance of aircraft avionics equipment and test equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Execute assigned repairs within defined turnaround times to meet customer demands and achieve high-quality results.
  • Support the avionics workshop in complying with UK Military Aviation Authority (MAA) Regulatory Articles under MAOS Part 145.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and up-to-date training records to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with workshop managers to respond to instructions and audit findings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, partners, and subcontractors through verbal and electronic means.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services.
  • Provide technical authorizations and security clearance for the position, and maintain high standards of work quality.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support the reduction of costs and waste in the workshop.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of avionics systems and electrical engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Security clearance and technical authorizations for the position.
