Position Overview:

The role of a Law Enforcement Officer encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining public safety and order within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties as both a Law Enforcement Officer and a Civil Enforcement Officer.
  • Engage in targeted enforcement and investigative efforts to address issues related to crime, disorder, anti-social behavior, and traffic violations.
  • Respond to inquiries, complaints, and assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with local police, fire services, council departments, and other organizations to effectively prevent and resolve community issues.
  • Enhance patrol visibility to achieve desired outcomes as outlined in the service plan.
  • Be available to work outside of standard office hours as necessary.
  • Utilize criminal enforcement authority and the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme as required.
  • Conduct enforcement activities in a manner that is both efficient and effective.
  • Uphold high standards of service delivery and communication with the public.
  • Follow established policies, participate in training sessions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Organize and prioritize workload to meet service demands.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations.
  • Investigate both civil and criminal offenses, preparing comprehensive legal case files.
  • Complete noise nuisance training and respond to related incidents.

Additional Information:

This position operates as part of a 24/7 service, with additional compensation for day and night shifts.

A valid CSAS certification and full driving license are mandatory.
