Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our Operating Theatres department at The London Clinic's main hospital site in Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care without direct supervision, and will be expected to supervise qualified and unqualified staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a skilled member of the anaesthetic team, providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload.
  • Devise, implement, and assess individualised care plans for a wide and diverse patient group.
  • Supervise and support members of the anaesthetic team, ensuring that all staff are able to provide the highest standard of care.
  • Manage the Anaesthetic department, including the deployment of staff and the use of equipment and resources.
  • Ensure a welcoming, caring, and safe environment, promoting, maintaining, and monitoring standards in accordance with the guidelines of the NMC/HCPC and CQC.
Requirements
  • RGN/ODP qualified practitioner, with a recognised anaesthetic course qualification.
  • NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in anaesthetics, with an excellent understanding of the perioperative needs of patients and customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a passion for high-quality patient care, and the ability to work well under pressure and flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
