Job Title: Band 6 Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioners

We are seeking experienced and skilled Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioners to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient care and safety is maintained throughout the patient journey through Theatres and Anaesthetics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding Clinical Leadership within the Anaesthetic Team
  • Guide, empower, and encourage the excellent provision of high-quality care to children and their families
  • Challenge and support the training and development of all Learners and Colleagues at a variety of levels
  • Be a role model and expert Clinical Practitioner
Requirements:
  • NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner (appropriate to Clinical Speciality)
  • Relevant accredited qualification relating to clinical speciality at post-graduate level
  • Evidence of on-going professional development relating to clinical speciality in addition to primary qualification
  • Assessor or practice supervisor qualification/experience
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
  • Experience of having worked with acute/chronically sick children or specialised transferrable skills
  • Understanding of professional and current issues in children's nursing
  • Understanding of Diversity and Inclusion challenges in the workplace
Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £44,806 to £53,134 per annum inclusive.
