Job Title: Band 6 Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioners

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Anaesthetic Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to take on a leadership role within our Anaesthetic Team. As a Band 6, you will be responsible for providing outstanding clinical leadership, guiding and empowering the team to deliver high-quality care to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the Anaesthetic Team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure excellent patient care and safety
  • Contribute to the development and training of team members
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Relevant accredited qualification at post-graduate level
  • Experience working with acute/chronically sick children or specialized transferrable skills
  • Understanding of professional and current issues in children's nursing
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills
