Java Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team in Glasgow. As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality Java-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Java-based applications using best practices and design patterns.
  • Participate in the full application development lifecycle, with a focus on coding excellence and collaboration with the team.
  • Craft user interactions using front-end/UI frameworks to enhance user experience.
  • Utilize databases and SQL fundamentals for robust backend support.
  • Design RESTful services and APIs using web-based frameworks to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively in an Agile environment, actively engaging in daily standups and retrospectives.
  • Deploy full-stack applications to the cloud and resolve issues through troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Strong understanding of Java programming language and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with front-end/UI frameworks and databases.
  • Knowledge of RESTful services and APIs.
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
