Role Overview
Our team of expert economists provides support to organizations and their legal representatives in high-stakes antitrust and regulatory matters, as well as commercial disputes, where rigorous economic evidence is essential. We have extensive experience advising on issues before various regulatory agencies and courts across the US, UK, EU, China, and Japan.

Collaboration and Expertise
We frequently collaborate with academic affiliates, merging academic rigor with top-tier consulting expertise to generate compelling evidence that effectively addresses the inquiries posed by agencies or courts. Our economics team is integrated within a broader Risk practice, allowing you to work closely with other professionals, including forensic accountants and data analysts.

Our economics practice is expanding rapidly, and we have exciting growth plans that we invite you to be a part of. We are seeking seasoned senior economists for a full-time role. Candidates must possess substantial and relevant professional experience along with a strong understanding of microeconomics, ideally in industrial organization, advanced microeconomics, or econometrics.

Work Environment
AlixPartners has adopted a hybrid work model to offer flexibility and support our employees' work-life balance. This model combines in-person and remote work, with travel requirements varying based on client, team, and individual circumstances.

Responsibilities
You will collaborate with economics experts to establish the analytical framework for cases, manage project teams to conduct research and analysis, and lead the preparation of deliverables, including expert reports. Significant client interaction is expected, often overseeing client relationships on cases, discussing our analytical strategies with clients and their legal advisors, and presenting our findings.

Mentorship and Career Development
All senior team members serve as mentors and career advisors to junior colleagues, and you will be expected to fulfill this role by providing training and guidance. You will receive support from our leadership team, with Managing Directors actively mentoring you to advance your career.

Professional Growth
We have a proven track record of developing senior economists, assisting them in building their personal brands in the market and strengthening their relationships with private-practice lawyers and corporations, enabling them to become trusted advisors.

Qualifications
A postgraduate degree, either a Master's or PhD, in economics or econometrics, with a focus on industrial organization, advanced microeconomics, or applied econometrics is required. Relevant professional experience may include roles in government or regulatory authorities on competition issues or economic regulation, or experience in an economics consultancy.

Skills and Attributes
A demonstrated ability to lead rigorous economic analysis on complex projects and present findings in clear, compelling reports is essential. Candidates should be willing to work outside of standard business hours as unique projects or needs arise.

Language Proficiency
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in other European languages, particularly German and French, is advantageous.
