As a Construction Project Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing one or more moderately complex projects, which may involve:
  • Clients with a regional presence; OR,
  • Projects that require coordination of multiple services across regional offices; OR,
  • Other complexities such as litigation, environmental considerations, and due diligence.
  • Managing all phases of projects from inception to completion.
  • Working independently while receiving guidance on specific tasks, objectives, and intricate features.
  • Seeking technical advice on unusual or complex challenges and obtaining supervisory approval for project plans.
  • Supervising senior engineers across various disciplines, as well as project administration, controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, and procurement teams.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience from a consultancy or client organization with a proven ability to lead construction projects successfully.
  • Expertise in pre and post-contract design/project management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with JCT and/or NEC Contract Administration (accreditation is a plus).
  • Ability to maintain accurate project documentation (both physical and digital).
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional qualifications, ideally in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying at the Master's level.
  • Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or a similar institution.
  • APM affiliation is preferred (as a secondary accreditation).
  • Experience with Prince 2 or MSP is desirable but not mandatory.
