Job Title: Chief Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking an experienced Chief Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at the Royal Brompton Hospital. As a key member of our cardiac physiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiac physiology, with experience in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. You will be responsible for working closely with our senior colleagues to assist with the effective training and development of trainee cardiac physiologists and associated practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our services
  • Work closely with senior colleagues to assist with training and development of trainee cardiac physiologists
  • Participate in quality control and technical audit as part of the Trust's clinical governance programme
  • Assist in the development of new techniques in invasive and non-invasive cardiology
  • Participate in departmental meetings and provide input to the development of policies and protocols
Person Specification
  • BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or recognized equivalent
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS)
  • Experience in pacing and CRM device implantation and follow-up
  • Leadership/management course/qualifications
  • Skills in stock management and teaching/training as a work-based assessor
