Senior Maintenance Engineer - Stonehouse

First Base is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Stonehouse. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all company plant and equipment in a good and safe working order.
  2. You will ensure compliance with legal requirements and liaise with insurance inspectors as necessary.
  3. Update all registers and lists pertaining to equipment and plant, and conduct regular testing of fire alarms and emergency lighting.
  4. Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures, and be aware of company environmental policies and emergency preparedness procedures.
  5. Investigate manufacturing challenges and develop short-term and long-term plans to address them.
  6. Organize and schedule repairs with the Logistics Manager and Chief Maintenance Engineer, and report on completion.
  7. Update KPIs and report as agreed in BIC meetings.
  8. Collaborate with the Development Team on development projects, such as oil systems and roller boxes.
  9. Supervise staff and ensure they have planned workloads, and conduct regular appraisals.
Requirements:
  1. Engineering experience, with knowledge of press design and construction.
  2. Fabrication skills.
  3. Electrical knowledge, preferably 18th Edition.
  4. Maintenance records must be kept up to date.
  5. PPM and breakdown maintenance reports must be maintained.
