Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to join our team at The Recruitment Co. Careers. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and improve all plant, processes, and assets to a safe, efficient, and reliable standard.
  2. Perform day-to-day maintenance and improvement of plant, assets, and services.
  3. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with food and health and safety standards.
  4. Complete PPM tasks and formulate improved maintenance practices.
  5. Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a timely manner, ensuring the smooth running of the Engineering Request System.
  6. Actively champion health and safety.
  7. Diagnose faults and test, repair, and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment.
  8. Observe, recognize, and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data.
  9. Contact OEMs and other suppliers for technical support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice Maintenance Engineer with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
