Your New Challenge

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Home Manager for a brand new Children's Residential service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a leadership role and be part of shaping the vision and ethos of the new home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to children and young people.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to statutory and organizational policies, providing feedback on their effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Legal Compliance: Comply with various legal and regulatory requirements, including the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
  • Community Engagement: Develop relationships within the community to support outcomes for looked-after children and promote the services offered by the home.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Produce regular reports and evaluations, ensuring equality and diversity principles are embedded and outcomes are measured and reported.
  • Safeguarding and Risk Management: Ensure the home is a safe and secure environment for children and young people, managing risk and implementing safeguarding procedures.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and support staff, ensuring they have access to training and development opportunities and are equipped to deliver high-quality care and services.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience working with children and young people, including 1 year at a senior level.
  • Proven experience of managing staff and services, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, young people, staff, and external partners.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer opportunities for training and development, as well as a supportive and collaborative work environment.
