Job Summary

Solution Recruitment Ltd - temporary is seeking a highly skilled Tunneling Site/Shift Engineer to join our team for the Snowdonia VIP Tunnel project. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of tunneling operations, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of crane activities, including TBM assembly, launch, and disassembly, in conjunction with Lift Supervisors and Lifting Coordinators.
  • Monitor and review material in the STP, noting any changes, significant or otherwise, and communicate to Sub-Agent/Agent and capture on shift report.
  • Ensure compliance with the Permit to Tunnel and Daily Briefing, implementing and following actions, controls, or findings accordingly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives, including the removal of a section of overhead line and replacement with electricity cables buried in a tunnel underground.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of tunneling operations and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting project deadlines.
