Cleaning Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Manager to join our team at Bridge Recruitment. As a Cleaning Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of cleaning standards at our client's retail site in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful delivery of cleaning standards on site, reporting directly to the Services Manager.
- Provide sufficient cover at all times and allocate cleaning tasks correctly.
- Support the Services Manager in delivering the whole service to the client.
- Monitor cleaning operatives' attendance, check for any trends, and address trigger points as per the Absence Policy.
- Train and develop the cleaning team, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their tasks and safety information.
- Investigate breaches of health and safety, complaints, or observations about team members' conduct.
- Hold investigation meetings and disciplinary hearings, ensuring a good understanding of the Disciplinary Procedure.
- Respond to requests from the Services Manager and client within a reasonable time frame.
- Carry out regular cleaning audits and KPI support.
- Provide support services and oversee security and maintenance teams when required, especially at weekends.
- Be flexible to cover various shifts, including late nights and weekends.
- Meet service levels and lead the team to achieve SLA.
- Use initiative to make improvements and train the team on equipment and tasks.
- Ensure health and safety training, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Report incidents and maintain staff uniforms.
Requirements:
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and people management skills.
- Ability to work to set schedules and work independently.
- Flexible and proactive attitude, representing the company and partner values on site.
- Experience in coordinating tasks and individuals.
- Good knowledge and experience of health and safety procedures and induction processes.
- Understanding of risk assessments and procedures.
- Good record-keeping and monitoring compliance with risk assessments.
- Competence in carrying out attendance and performance reviews with the team.
