We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Assistant Director for Adult Safeguarding and Quality Assurance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and manage the Adult Safeguarding and Adults MultiAgency Safeguarding Hub Services, ensuring effective delivery of services and high-quality outcomes for adults at risk.
    • Act as the lead social work professional for all social care staff, providing expert advice and support to ensure the highest standards of practice.
    • Provide strategic leadership in safeguarding governance practice and statutory duty compliance, ensuring that the organization is fully compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Oversee the implementation of changes, ensuring that practice, structural, and technological requirements are met, and that services are delivered in a way that is efficient, effective, and sustainable.
  • Quality Assurance and Practice Development:
    • Drive continuous improvement in practice quality and effectiveness, ensuring that services are delivered in a way that meets the needs of adults at risk and their families.
    • Implement guidelines, auditing, and assuring service quality against standards, ensuring that services are delivered to the highest standards.
    • Lead the development and delivery of policies, training, guidance, and quality assurance processes, ensuring that staff have the skills and knowledge they need to deliver high-quality services.
  • Strategic Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Serve as the council's lead officer for Local Safeguarding Boards/Partnerships, working closely with key statutory partners to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of services.
    • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key statutory partners, ensuring that services are delivered in a way that is coordinated and effective.
    • Provide expert advice, supervision, and support in complex situations, ensuring that staff have the support they need to deliver high-quality services.
  • Systems and Service Integration:

  • Service Delivery and Improvement:
