The Role
We are currently seeking a Production Manager for our Super Quarry Torr Works in Shepton Mallet. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a substantial team at this expansive limestone quarry, taking charge of the development, extraction, and operational processes.
Your responsibilities will include fostering a robust Health & Safety culture that aligns with industry protocols and regulations. As a Production Manager, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a proven history of effective team management within a quarry setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as 8.1d in the presence of the quarry manager, and as 8.1c in their absence, utilizing available 8.1d relief to ensure compliance.
- Champion a safe and sustainable working environment.
- Support the site's financial performance in accordance with budgetary requirements, ensuring accurate reporting for accounting purposes.
- Implement and uphold the company's health and safety regulations, quality assurance, and environmental policies.
- Strategically manage quarry operations in line with geotechnical assessments and quarry design plans.
- Comprehensive understanding of Quarry Regulations, Health & Safety, and Employment legislation.
- A proven leader capable of nurturing talent and supporting the development of team members.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with a strong ability to plan and execute operational strategies.
- Solid understanding of financial management and budgetary responsibilities.
