The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to lead our operations in the Somerset region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the extraction of over 7 million tonnes of material annually, ensuring the smooth operation of our quarries, and driving a culture of excellence across our sites.

Our region is home to one of our three super quarries, and you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our suppliers to ensure a just-in-time supply of materials to key infrastructure projects across the country.

Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operational teams in the region, ensuring the achievement of performance targets and a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide employees to achieve their full potential, supporting succession planning and talent development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, innovation, and sustainability.
