The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to lead our operations in the Somerset region. This is a unique opportunity to drive excellence across our quarries, including the Limestone Super Quarry, and contribute to the success of our business.

As the Area Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational teams in the region, ensuring the extraction of high-quality materials, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials to key infrastructure projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational teams in the region to achieve performance targets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive excellence in health and safety, production output, and employee engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
  • Mentor and develop employees across all levels to achieve succession plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in the quarrying or mining sector.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop employees.
  • Strong operational expertise, with a focus on health and safety and production output.
