About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Area Director to join our team at SSP Health. As a Clinical Area Director, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management skills to enable our practices to meet their agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe, and effective working environment.

You will support, communicate, and deliver central changes and messages to the practice leaders, ensuring that our practices are fully compliant, increasing efficiencies, and maximising income streams to ensure practices remain sustainable.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure that there are full monitoring systems in place, support, and monitoring schedules for each practice to create long-term sustainable viable practices.
  • Monitor and review the practices to increase efficiencies, ensure compliance, maximise income, maintain high staff morale, and ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Complete reports for each practice, ensuring compliance before submission to COO.
  • Set up an electronic folder for each practice for evidence retention and validation of data submitted against actual achievement.
  • Ensure practices receive support to achieve higher targets and optimal ES delivery.
  • Investigate list size falls and processes for advertising the practice to new patients.
  • Ensure attendance at mandatory meetings for Managers and clinicians, and submission of all peer support information by the deadline.
  • Attend 1 per quarter to ensure meetings are held using SSP Health framework and standard agenda.
  • Foster good relations with Clinical leads and ensure Managers are monitoring clinicians effectively.
  • Ensure all claims are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assess practice team performance against objectives. Ensure effective management of Patient Services & Patient Information.
  • Work with the practice to maximise income through various targets.
  • Keep up-to-date with primary care IT developments and oversee training.
