Job Overview

The post holder will provide strategic leadership for the 24-hour Trust-wide Mental Health Helpline, ensuring clinical and non-clinical standards of care are maintained and quality service improvements are implemented. This includes ensuring the Care Quality Commission (CQC) essential standards are met.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will provide operational coordination and management across the 24-hour Trust-wide Mental Health Helpline. They will work closely with Associate Directors, senior management teams, and partner agencies to deliver and develop high-quality services.

Person SpecificationEducation/QualificationsEssential Criteria
  • Qualified and registered RMN/S/OT
  • Postgraduate training relevant to mental health/leadership/management
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Demonstrable significant experience as a senior clinical practitioner in mental health
  • Management and/or leadership of mental health services
  • Clinical experience in a range of mental health settings
  • Delivering service/practice innovation, development, and change
  • Budgetary management
  • Ability to establish professional boundaries and resolve operational issues
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning
  • Proven effective leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate staff and achieve goals through the actions of others
  • Ability to reflect on and critically appraise own performance
  • Ability to take part in on-call rota
  • Ability to work through and recognise resistance to change
Desirable Criteria
  • Education to masters level in a relevant area
  • Management/leadership qualification
  • Project management experience or qualification
  • Experience of working across multiple age ranges
