About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Housing Solutions service at West Northants Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering an efficient housing allocation service, ensuring the Council's housing register is administered in accordance with our Housing Allocation Scheme, service procedures, and national legislation and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritise new applications to the housing register
  • Support customers placing bids on properties and shortlisting bids
  • Provide comprehensive housing advice and information to households in housing need
  • Ensure households are supported with appropriate interventions, requiring excellent communication skills
About You

You will have experience of working within housing and conducting complex investigations and enquiries to assess applications for assistance under housing legislation. Additionally, you will have provided excellent advice and assistance to a wide range of people who may have complex and challenging behaviour, and worked collaboratively with other organisations to meet these complex needs.

This role is based in Northampton and will require occasional travel within West Northants. If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual who is passionate about making a difference, we encourage you to apply.
