Senior Psychiatric Consultant

We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to become a vital part of our dedicated Care Delivery Service. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care for adults requiring in-patient treatment.
As part of this position, you will receive a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, along with a relocation allowance of up to £8,000. The Recruitment and Retention payment is structured as follows:
- £5,000 upon appointment
- £5,000 at the 12-month anniversary of employment
- £6,500 at the 30-month anniversary of employment
- £8,500 at the 48-month anniversary of employment
This payment is pro-rata for part-time positions. For further details regarding the Recruitment and Retention Payment and the Relocation Allowance, please reach out to our Medical Staffing Team.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with Nurses, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and other professionals to deliver outstanding care to our patients.

In addition, you will have the chance to connect with a Trust-wide consultant network and benefit from peer support from colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with local community teams and other acute in-patient services.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Full registration with the GMC and a license to practice.
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility within six months.
- Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Demonstrated expertise in the specialty.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Higher degree or qualification in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- MRCPsych qualification.
- Good standing with the GMC regarding practice conditions.
- Extensive experience in relevant specialties within the NHS or similar services.
