Infrastructure Project Manager

Overview: 83zero Limited is in search of a highly proficient and driven Infrastructure Project Manager to enhance our vibrant team. Our consultancy collaborates with prominent technology firms, financial organizations, and governmental clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in diverse technologies, particularly in data center transitions, along with a comprehensive understanding of network and infrastructure initiatives. You will be instrumental in overseeing intricate technical projects, ensuring they are executed on schedule, within defined parameters, and uphold the highest quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Spearhead and oversee comprehensive technical projects, emphasizing data center transitions, network, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the main liaison for clients, ensuring transparent communication, managing expectations, and fostering strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Leadership: Offer technical direction and supervision to project teams, ensuring all technical elements are delivered in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
  • Scope & Planning: Establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders. Formulate detailed project plans, including timelines, resource distribution, and risk management strategies.
  • Execution & Delivery: Propel project execution, track progress, and guarantee the timely completion of all project milestones. Proactively identify and address issues that may affect project delivery.
  • Risk Management: Recognize potential risks and devise mitigation strategies to secure successful project outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, technical teams, and vendors, to ensure alignment and successful project results.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough project documentation, including project plans, status updates, risk logs, and post-project evaluations. Provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project management processes and methodologies within the consultancy.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Project Manager, focusing on data center transitions, network, and infrastructure projects.
    • Thorough understanding of data center technologies, network architecture, and infrastructure components.
    • Experience managing projects for technology firms, financial organizations, or governmental clients is highly desirable.
  • Technical Background:
    • Strong technical foundation with a deep comprehension of IT infrastructure, networking, and data center operations.
    • Experience in technology-centric roles (e.g., IT Manager, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer) prior to transitioning to project management is advantageous.
    • Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Project Management Skills:
    • Proven success in managing complex, multifaceted technical projects from initiation to completion.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
  • Communication & Leadership:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Certifications:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant certifications are preferred.
    • Technical certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS) are an added advantage.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
