Maths Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maths Tutor to join our team in a prison education setting. As a Maths Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths education to adult learners in a secure environment.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adult learners. As a Maths Tutor, you will be working in a prison education setting, delivering Functional Skills Maths to learners of varying levels. You will be required to create engaging and interactive lessons, using a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Maths education to adult learners in a prison education setting
- Plan and prepare engaging and interactive lessons, using a range of teaching methods
- Assess and evaluate learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Work collaboratively with other education professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
- Contribute to the development of Maths education resources and materials
Requirements
- Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics
- A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work
- Teaching Qualification
- Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies
- Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills
