CASS Compliance Officer (CASS 5)

Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Salary Range: £110,000 - £125,000 PA

JSS Search is collaborating with a dynamic insurance provider seeking a CASS Compliance Officer (CASS 5). This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to FCA regulations across various business units while enhancing operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee that the organization’s operations align with CASS regulations, maintaining precise documentation and establishing effective oversight mechanisms.
  • Formulate, execute, and assess CASS 5 policies and procedures, ensuring they are comprehensive, current, and compliant with prevailing regulations.
  • Perform routine compliance evaluations and compile detailed reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CASS 5, providing training and support to finance and audit teams on compliance matters.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with client assets, ensuring timely resolution of any potential issues.
  • Act as the primary liaison for both internal and external auditors during CASS audits, ensuring all observations are addressed and resolved.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in a CASS 5 compliance position within the insurance sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FCA's CASS 5 regulations and associated compliance requirements.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CII are preferred.
  • Experience in supporting audit processes within complex organizations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
