The Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding team working with a variety of clients, solicitors, and mediators. You will be able to expand on your legal portfolio and demonstrate your academic prowess.
The Paralegal roles require you to have solid legal experience and an excellent eye for detail. The roles demand a confident and ambitious candidate with excellent written and verbal skills. You will need to work to deadlines and be willing to go the extra mile when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and consider papers received on instruction, obtaining documentary evidence as required
- Daily client contact and case management, ensuring timely and effective communication
- Drafting legal and court documents, including pleadings and other relevant materials
- Preparation of hearing bundles and external instructions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Case and general administration, including document management and electronic systems
- Document management, including the use of internal electronic systems to progress cases and provide update reports to clients
- Conducting legal research, staying up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations
Ideal Candidate
- LPC or BPTC graduates preferred, with a strong academic background in law
- Previous proven work experience as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant or Legal Executive, with a focus on civil, commercial, and/or financial litigation
- Experience in banking or finance, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
- Ability to manage own case loads, with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent research and administration skills, with a strong attention to detail
