Commercial Counsel Opportunity at Darktrace Ltd

Darktrace Ltd, a leading company in the industry, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Counsel to join its team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth private company environment, driving progress on legal team projects and assisting wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and facilitating the completion of commercial contracts with the company's growing customer base.
  • Negotiate and draft software license agreements with end users, resale and distribution agreements with partners, data processing, advertising and other commercial agreements to support strategic growth.
  • Advise on legal risk and strategy.
  • Work with teams across the company, including Finance, Human Resources, and Facilities, to ensure ongoing support of company operations.
  • Conduct legal research as needed.
  • Drive progress on legal team projects and assist wherever needed.
Requirements:
  • Post-qualified legal experience, ideally within a contracts or commercial in-house environment.
  • Relevant legal experience, with demonstrated interest in commercial transactions, privacy, data security, and technology transactions, intellectual property, and similar fields.
  • Experience drafting documents, supporting and advising teams in commercial transactions.
  • A strong work ethic, highly motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth private company environment.
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of projects.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the company's personnel, including management, building relationships across teams and across our offices.
