Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Hulme. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide a safe and engaging learning environment for pupils with ASD. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with ASD in the classroom and in the school sensory room
  • Assisting with lesson planning and implementation
  • Providing individualized support to pupils with ASD
  • Working collaboratively with the inclusion team to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with ASD
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2/3 qualification in childcare or a related field, or relevant experience working with children with ASD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
