We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at the Together Trust. As a key member of our residential childcare team, you will provide support for children and young people with their physical, emotional, and social needs, promoting their personal growth and independence.
Working collaboratively with our team, you will prepare and assist the children and young people to fulfill the aims of their person-centered plan, supporting them to develop life skills and achieve their goals. You will work flexibly to undertake a range of duties in a well-planned way that respects and values the children and young people as individuals.
About YouWe are looking for applicants who have the following skills and experience:
- Completed the QCF level 3/4 in Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner qualification or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of working with social workers and parents
- Previous experience in keyworking with young people, including primary responsibility in complex cases
- Previous experience in shift leading and supervising team members
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a good standard of written English and IT skills
A driving license held for 12 months is desirable, as transporting children/young people to activities or school is a requirement.
What We OfferAs a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker with the Together Trust, you will benefit from:
- A competitive salary of £27 per hour, with sleep-in shifts paid at £96.00 per shift
- Weekends paid at a 25% premium on the hourly rate
- Annual leave of 27 days plus 8 bank holidays, rising to 30 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years
