Job Details

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our Exeter STaR team, working with individuals experiencing addiction and homelessness.

About the Role
As a member of our STaR team, you'll work closely with clients, establishing strong therapeutic relationships and providing intensive support to address complex problems. You'll collaborate with our GP and Clinical Psychologist to develop personalized recovery plans, leveraging personal budgets to help clients rediscover joy and stability in their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substance misuse-specific knowledge and interventions, working in a flexible and dynamic environment to bring the right treatment to the right people at the right time.
  • Work in a multi-skilled team based in Exeter's CoLab hub, ensuring clients access a range of support services to address multiple needs.
  • Apply a Strength-Based Approach, focusing on individual and community assets to build a network of support around clients.
  • Advocate for equitable access to essential services, working with clients, families, and partner agencies to drive positive change.
  • Participate in weekly multi-disciplinary clinical meetings, receive regular psychologist-led reflective practice, and engage in professional development opportunities.
