Position Title: Lead Engineer - Cell Development

Position Overview:

The Lead Engineer role at EnerSys is integral to the EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS) Space team, playing a crucial part in international space initiatives. This position entails overseeing a team dedicated to the evaluation and preparation of Li-ion cells for space-related projects. Furthermore, the role encompasses project management duties within the Cell Development team, ensuring the successful execution of development projects across the Engineering division.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal projects within the Cell Development team
  • Coordinate testing and qualification processes for Li-ion cells
  • Plan and monitor project activities, allocate resources, and manage project budgets
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians
  • Conduct both internal and external development initiatives within the Engineering division
  • Establish objectives, perform evaluations, and facilitate team meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
  • Formal qualification in project management (e.g., Prince2, APM)

Experience and Skills:

  • Background in regulated industries such as aerospace
  • Proven project management expertise and proficiency in MS Project
  • Strong mentoring and delegation skills
