We are seeking an experienced Social Work Manager to lead our Adolescent Safeguarding Team. As a key member of our Early Help team, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of social workers to deliver statutory social work with adolescents aged 13-17 who have been referred to the service due to contextual harm.
Key Responsibilities- Review contacts and referrals across a wide spectrum of contextual safeguarding needs, including children who may be persistently missing, have been coerced into sexual or criminal exploitation, or have been violent to other children.
- Support social workers to identify risk and establish safety early on in the assessment and carry out investigations as required.
- Work closely with police, education, and health partners to hold strategies and deliver robust responses to harm in the community.
- Ensure that visits are carried out as required and that social workers deliver meaningful direct work and interventions.
- You are a social work manager who is passionate about working alongside young people and their families to reduce exploitation and harm in the community.
- You are skilled at identifying risks both in the home and community, analysing information from a wide range of sources to formulate clear direction and support to social workers in their delivery of plans.
- You are experienced at delivering direct work and able to support social workers in their direct work with adolescents to support them to identify positive life goals, understand and respond to risk safely, and have healthy relationships.
