Position Overview

The South Wales Posture and Mobility Service is seeking a dedicated and proactive Band 6 Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation Engineer, or Clinical Scientist to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will conduct Comprehensive Postural Evaluations and supply suitable wheelchairs, postural aids, and pressure management solutions to clients of all ages with diverse medical conditions throughout South Wales. This role requires independent work within a highly supportive environment. A face-to-face interview will be part of the selection process.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant should possess a wide-ranging clinical background, preferably with experience in managing chronic conditions. Familiarity with the assessment and provision of wheelchairs and related accessories is advantageous, although training will be available. While our primary operations are clinic-based, we also engage with clients in various settings, including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and their residences. Consequently, the ability to travel within the community using a company vehicle in a timely manner is crucial. Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC or relevant profession-specific registration
  • Degree/Diploma

Desirable

  • Possession or pursuit of a higher degree
  • Wheelchair accreditation
  • Fieldwork education

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or equivalent clinical experience in Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Neurology, or related fields.
  • Participation in audits
  • Experience in wheelchair/seating/standardized assessment.
