The starting salary is £29,725, with potential growth to £34,409 upon successful completion of training (approximately 6-9 months, depending on individual progress).
Job Objective:
To deliver technical assistance to the Shift Supervisor, ensuring that both planned and unplanned tasks are executed efficiently and in compliance with company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Changing tools, colors, and inserts as required.
- Preparing and servicing tooling for production runs.
- Rebuilding hot runners and verifying tolerances.
- Diagnosing faults in machinery and various multi-cavity tooling.
- Conducting quality assessments as necessary.
- Performing basic maintenance and cleaning of all equipment.
- Executing post-production activities as needed.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment throughout each shift.
- Completing administrative tasks and reporting as needed.
- Adhering to quality standards established by the company.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies, particularly regarding Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A technical qualification, ideally a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, along with proven experience in a mechanical or automotive field.
- Experience in production settings, particularly in operating various machines and tooling.
- Demonstrated competence in an engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at all organizational levels.
- A proactive approach to challenging existing practices and pursuing continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to meet collective goals.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands.
- Initiative in addressing and responding to daily challenges and opportunities.
- A thorough and conscientious work ethic, maintaining professionalism in all responsibilities.
