Moulding Technician

Technique Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Moulding Technician to join our client's team in Beccles. As a Moulding Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the moulding plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to the Shift Supervisor to ensure planned and unplanned work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Perform tool changing, colour changing, and insert changing tools to maintain production efficiency.
- Service and prepare tooling for production, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Conduct fault finding on machinery and multi-cavity tooling to minimize downtime.
- Carry out quality checks as required to ensure products meet customer standards.
- Perform basic servicing and cleaning of all machinery to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Assist with post-production tasks as needed to ensure a smooth production process.
- Ensure the department is safe, tidy, and clean during and at the end of each shift.
- Complete administrative tasks and reporting as necessary to support the team.
- Comply with quality standards and company procedures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Technical qualification, ideally NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with proven work experience in a mechanical or automotive discipline.
- Production experience, setting various machines and tooling.
- Clear and proven competence of working in an engineering environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to work with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives.
- Confident in challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work.
- Ability to respond positively to changing work demands.
- Decisive action to address and react to opportunities and problems in day-to-day work.
- Conscientious and thorough approach to work responsibilities.
- Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving and fault finding.
- Ability to listen and take up new skills.

- Ability to follow instructions to ensure work is completed as required.
