About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Financial Director to play a key role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer and senior management team, providing insights that drive the company's growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for managing the finance function, ensuring the company's financial health and stability.
- Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements, covering profit and loss, balance sheet, and group consolidation.
- Deliver financial analysis and insight on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place and adhered to, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.
- Own cash flow and treasury management, ensuring the company's liquidity and financial stability.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, as well as rolling forecasts and ownership of the five-year plan, driving strategic decision-making.
- Provide leadership and development of the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with proven experience in a senior financial role within a multi-business unit environment, ideally within the retail and/or hospitality sectors.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and developing high-performing finance teams, with a track record of success.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive, strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and attention to detail, with a passion for driving business growth and success.
