About the Role
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Sister/Educator in Pre Assessment. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new combined role that will support the growth and development of our Pre Assessment service.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Department Lead Nurse in the continuing development of staff and work in autonomy as a member of the multi-professional team.
- Maintain effective, compassionate communication with patients, their relatives, and staff of all levels.
- Develop and implement educational programs to support the growth and development of Pre Assessment Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
- Work clinically with new and established Nurses and Health Care Assistants to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Support the implementation of new policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
- First Level Nurse (RGN) qualification.
- Appropriate teaching qualification.
- Evidence of completion of Pre Assessment courses.
- Minimum 2 years recent ongoing experience in a related area.
- Evidence of achievements in previous role.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Management/leadership skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Mentoring skills.
