About the Role

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Sister/Educator in Pre Assessment. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new combined role that will support the growth and development of our Pre Assessment service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Department Lead Nurse in the continuing development of staff and work in autonomy as a member of the multi-professional team.
  • Maintain effective, compassionate communication with patients, their relatives, and staff of all levels.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to support the growth and development of Pre Assessment Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
  • Work clinically with new and established Nurses and Health Care Assistants to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Support the implementation of new policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.

Requirements

  • First Level Nurse (RGN) qualification.
  • Appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Evidence of completion of Pre Assessment courses.
  • Minimum 2 years recent ongoing experience in a related area.
  • Evidence of achievements in previous role.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Management/leadership skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Mentoring skills.
