Job Title: Nurse Educator

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Nurse Educator to join our team at Brightpoint Community College. The successful candidate will teach nursing courses in a face-to-face format, engage students in the learning process, and provide clinical supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach the equivalent of 7-12 credit hours per semester
  • Engage students in the learning process
  • Provide clinical supervision
  • Course and curriculum revision
  • Accurate maintenance of student files

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse with a current, unrestricted license in Virginia
  • Two years of experience as a registered nurse within the previous five years
  • At least one year of experience in the provision of long-term care facility services
  • Experience in the care of the geriatric population
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to teach a combination of day, evening, and weekend classes
  • Flexible to work at any of the College's locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary college level
  • Experience with the Virginia BON regulation regarding Nurse Aide education programs
