Position Overview

The role of the Service Administrator is crucial in delivering comprehensive administrative support to our Consultants and Specialist Nurses within the healthcare setting. This position demands exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in documentation management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a thorough and efficient administrative service to healthcare professionals, ensuring all documentation meets high standards of quality.
  • Oversee administrative tasks such as tracking patient waiting lists and ensuring adherence to healthcare compliance standards.
  • Coordinate patient appointments in accordance with established healthcare protocols.
  • Facilitate effective communication by managing correspondence and liaising with multidisciplinary teams, as well as handling telephone and email inquiries.
  • Assist in managing the schedules of Consultants and the administrative team.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure adequate coverage during periods of absence.
  • Maintain electronic patient records in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Adhere to governance standards, including training and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Support fellow administrative staff in delivering a high-quality service.

About the Role

This position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to contribute to our Paediatric Allergy service. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team, providing essential administrative support to Specialist Nurses and Paediatric Consultants.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in administration, preferably within a healthcare environment, though we welcome applicants from diverse sectors with relevant skills.

In this dynamic role, the candidate must demonstrate strong teamwork abilities and enjoy collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are also required.

As this role involves interaction with patients and healthcare professionals, applicants must exhibit outstanding communication skills and maintain a compassionate and efficient telephone demeanor.

Working Hours

The position requires a commitment of hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate various working patterns, including options suitable for school hours.
