About the Role:

Olsen House School is seeking an exceptional Safeguarding and SENDCo Support Officer to join our dedicated team. As the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, who have complex needs and require individualized support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and referrals, coordinating the school's response to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
  • Access support services for vulnerable children and families, working closely with external agencies to provide comprehensive care.
  • Manage a caseload of students with complex needs, developing and implementing individualized plans to promote their social, emotional, and mental health.
  • Ensure accurate and secure records of students with Child Protection plans, collaborating with social services and other external agencies as necessary.
