Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radio Communications Specialist to enhance our operations. This position focuses on delivering 2nd Line support for radio services associated with national contracts. Candidates with a background in radio system maintenance and troubleshooting are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver customer assistance and diagnose issues
  • Provide advanced technical support to field technicians
  • Contribute to the design, upkeep, and enhancement of radio communication networks
  • Install, set up, and evaluate radio hardware and software
  • Carry out repairs on various radio systems
  • Conduct site assessments, system upkeep, and troubleshooting
  • Engage in Out of Hours support via telephone

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in 2nd Line Radio repair and maintenance
  • Familiarity with antenna systems, PMR installation, and decommissioning processes
  • Knowledge of Tetra, microwave, and DMR technologies
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols and coordination abilities
  • Competence in Microsoft Windows and Unix operating systems
  • Basic understanding of RF and electronic testing tools
  • Familiarity with IP networking and LAN configurations
