About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Beaumont Care Homes. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our care homes, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cleaning and laundry operations in our care homes, ensuring that all areas are clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
  • Supervise and train the domestic and laundry staff team, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning and laundry procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the stock control system, ensuring that all necessary materials and supplies are available for cleaning and laundry operations.
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager to ensure that the care homes meet the required standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the care homes.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and laundry procedures, including infection control and COSHH regulations.
